As a cashier at ASDA (Walmart owned), I have to say Y.D.I. Walmart's self checkout system might be abysmally designed, but it should be obvious enough when the machine is in cash only mode. I mean they place signs on the machine and the machine itself even says cash only. You're almost as bad as those people who try and put a trolley through the self scan machines. (unless it is a hybrid with a belt, they are intended for baskets and putting a trolley into the bay is a partial health and safety risk as it blocks the exit to the bay in a lot of UK stores).

I don't understand why so many people hate Walmart. Everything I need is in one store. I go in, get all my stuff and leave. What's so bad? If you hate it, don't go. Problem solved.

I've worked at walmart for 2 years now...I encounter people like you all the time...it's not that hard to read...

as a manager at walmart you deserve this for two reasons the first being that you didnt read the sign the second being that when we have to do that to the machines at the beginning of your transaction the machine will ask you and i mean, actually speak and say "do you wish to continue?" and a message saying that the machine is only accepting cards and not cash will display on the screen and you have to hit yes to move any further.

as I work at walmart we put ours in a quite obvious spot and ppl still can't read the sign and try to cram it in and they still ask for cash back. ydl op
