that sucks. some friends of mine were going to miss their flight and they got no answer at any of expedia's three numbers they called. they got stuck in prague had to spend a couple thousand to get home and couldn't get a refund. next time, dont book with expedia

No, it sounds like they didn't have a flight to her destination for another ten hours.
Why would he deserve it?? It's not his fault the airline was stupid enough to book him on a flight that doesn't exist..
The FML is that he spent 10 hours. How could you wait around for 10 hours without doing anything to figure out what happened. The first thing you have to do at the airport is check in. If the flight didn't exist, he couldn't check in for it. So what was he doing?

she was probably waiting for the next flight. I've had to do this because of "technical difficulties" with the plane, except i had to wait longer.
Maybe he meant waiting ten hours in the airport for the new flight. You know, the one that actually existed.

They don't let you through the gates 10 hours before your flight is scheduled to take off, so if he meant he waited around the airport for 10 hours to get the next flight, it still begs the question, What was he doing it that it took him 10 hours in the airport? Even busy airports don't let you through the gates more than 4 hours in advance.
Yeah they do........ Also, OP could've waited in part of the airport that you don't need to go through security to get to.
You didn't think to check the flight with the airline? Don't you know you should always confirm your flight prior to departure to save yourself these kind of hassles...
They would have told you this when you checked in. You can't even go into the loading area without a valid ticket, and even if you don't check luggage, you have to go to your airline to sign in for the flight before then
Uhhhh... isn't that what happened? Thats how i took it anyways. When he went to check- in there was no flight to check in to.....
