Today, I was at the gynecologist and he was performing a routine check-up. He was a new doctor and I was just slightly uncomfortable with him. About mid-check-up, as he felt around my uterus, he said in a cartoonish voice, "Oh, it's so squishy up here." The doctor turned me into a sock puppet. FML

Eh, not so bad.. Maybe he was just trying to break the tension by joking around? I understand the awkwardness of a doctor from the opposite sex feeling your downstairs though :P

#182, I didn't realize two sentences was a long "defense"... Most people just don't know the way it works, so I was just clarifying. Anyway, if you had an intern that had never at least practiced a pelvic, that is a bit scary.

#5 #51 #64 #178 #190 Most men are gynocologists for the same reason most men are docters: It's a long study and by the time women who study medicine are doctors they quit thier job because they want a family with children and have found a man! I study medicine myself and this is quite a big issue because 70% of the first year studentes are female and a really low percentage of this really becomes a doctor.

That is so unprofessional and wrong. I would've reported him. If you're a gynecologist, you just don't do things like that since patients are often very uncomfortable having someone feeling around down there to begin with.
