Today, I tried buying a video game that was rated "M - for mature". The Cashier told me "you have to be 17 to buy this game". I didn't have any ID on me. I'm 25. FML

Today, I went to see a movie. While buying tickets, the girl behind the counter asked to show my ID card to proof I'm at least 16 years old. Not wanting to make a drama, I showed it. She took a look at it and declared it as fake. That ID is real and I'm 24. FML

Today, I tried to buy a bottle of wine from the supermarket. The scrawny, acne-ridden kid at the checkout asked to see my ID. I didn't have any on me, since I'm 37 years old and didn't expect to be asked stupid questions. I complained to his manager, only to be asked to leave. FML

Today, I was fired for not asking a senior citizen for proof that he was over 21 and legally allowed to purchase alcohol. When I told my manager he was clearly over 21, he replied, "But what if he WASN'T?" FML

Today, I went to the bar to celebrate my friend's birthday party. I gave the bouncer my ID and he kicked me out, saying that I should at least use an ID card with the correct gender. I'm 22 and female, he thought I was an underage boy. FML

Today my job started requiring all transactions regarding cigarettes or alcohol to have the ID scanned before proceeding. There is no way yo bypass this function. I carded a 60 year old man and his 40 year old son who both yelled at me for 10 minutes. FML

This isn't an FML. ID is required. It isn't a rule in some hidden context that they are freely allowed to permit you to buy the game if you just *look* of age, even if some careless people do that on occasion... I'm sorry, though!

I get carded for everything and I'm 24, it's a shock if they don't card me. I just never go anywhere without my id. I don't mind the awkward compliment.

Because video games are only for little kids, mirite? I thought with all this Wii Fit crap people would at least recognize that people other than teenagers buy video games, but apparently there are still close-minded idiots like you. God forbid someone have fun doing something that doesn't affect you at all.
