Trying to record this girl making threats is game playing and could be dangerous if she really is a psycho. Even if you record this girl, she could just say she found out some horrible things about you and was doing it to protect him. Trying to record her won't work and will just make you look like a psycho who has serious trust issues. Unfortunately "bros before hoes" still applies, even if the best friend is a girl. All you can do is tell him what happened, then dump him and hope that the next girl his "best friend" threatens does the same - and the next - and the next - until he wakes up and realized that his best friend is in love with him and driving all the competition away with horrible threats.
