Hi, OP here..for those of you wondering I'm 16 years old and my mom doesn't want to get rid of Buffy (my cat) and honestly neither do I! My mom keeps saying shed rather get rid of me instead of the cat..lol I know she's probably joking and she loves me...but never get in between a woman and her cat!

Im sorry OP. I too have a cat allergy, just take allergy medicine. it helps a lot!! I usually take benedryl (sp?), and I'm extremely allergic. make sure if you touch the cat to wash your hands after and clean the cat regularly (if you can get it in the bath) so the fur doesn't bother you. I had to do that with my old kitten.
