Today, I finally found out what that weird smell in my apartment was. My ex-boyfriend had been breaking into my apartment and hiding rotting fruit all over the place. I found this out when a ceiling panel fell and a swarm of fruit flies attacked me. FML

Today, we have a fruit fly infestation again because my roommate keeps buying fruit and letting it rot on the counter. Despite the moldy fruit being covered in flies, she insists it's my fault because I left an empty bottle of beer out. FML

Today, I lifted up a watermelon, not realising it had gone bad. The thing exploded like an alien giving birth. Stinking juice and rotten inside all over the kitchen. Even behind the build-in closets. It smells like rotten fruit cheese and I can't reach behind the closets. FML

Today, I came back to my apartment to see that my roommate had left out bread, deli meat, and cheese on the counter, and made myself a sandwich. When she came back, she informs me that she found bugs in the fridge and took out all the food she thought would be contaminated. FML

Today, I just moved into my second apartment after the first one was infested with fruit flies, which were coming out of cracks in the floor. We discovered they had tried to cover this fact up so we'd move in. Guess what this new one has? Bed bugs. I asked if there was a history of bug problems and they said no. Lies. FML

Today, I found the source of the bad smell that has been plaguing me for the past two weeks in my apartment. The police knocked on my door asking if I've seen my neighbor recently. I haven't. The smell has been that of a dead person. It's a smell that even Febreze can't remove. FML

can I just say that just because the chick wrote this doesnt mean that she wasnt a total bitch in the breakup. For all we know, they were dating and she was just using him for money and then banged a bunch of other guys and got caught in the act with one. Even if the she was a horrible girlfriend, him breaking into her house to put rotting fruit in the ceiling is ******. I can understand being in a petty kinda mood for a while and being a dick but I think he took it to another level...I have never heard of someone doing this before. I hope she changes the locks so he can't just come in when he wants. I'm guessing he still has a key because it took the ceiling panel to fall before she noticed someone had been in the apartment.

I used to have a very bitchy gf; but I would never pull something like this on her because oncewe broke up I didn't even want to see her. I wonder just how bitchy OP must be for her boyfriend to actually take the time to do all this. This can also be a learning experience for you OP. Learn to be a decent human being, or to not date ppl that aren't.
