Can't you just tell the company and they'll give it you back under expenses?

Go to the company with the receipt. Maybe they'll refund you the money.

Keep the receipt and keep track of the mileage. You should be able to receive your money after letting them know about that error and proving it was for the company car.

You can buy some fuel with your fuel card, put it in a tank and sell it to someone in need for double the price.

Can you not get the petrol station to refund your card and repay using the fuel card? It'll take a few days for the refund but it's better than waiting to payday for money.
