"Pursuing?" When people you meet in recovery begin stalking you, maybe you should make a policy of automatically rejecting people in recovery. Way to freak that guy out, creeper!
Because if you fall off the wagon, and most people do at least once in their recovery, it's a temptation for him to fall too. And vice versa. Dating another person in recovery doubles the odds that you will slip up. Plus you have to constantly watch out for both your sobrieties and essentially baby sit each other and that's an added stress
Aren't ppl supposed to stay out of relationships for the first year?
