hahah
it IS fake because if you've ever seen cremated remains it is not a powder at all like it is in the movies it's like small bone fragments
Kids can legally babysit at 13... A 12 year old looking after a 5 year old isn't exactly a negligent act.
Well, look at the bright side: the kids got to play with great-grandpa one more time.
I almost think this is fake... Firstly, what kind of mom would leave a 12 year old to babysit a 5 year old after a funeral? They probably were confused, sad, had questions, possibly were even scared that the same thing would happen to other people they loved, etc.... Secondly, are you really that stupid to leave something so precious at a 5 year old's level? Thirdly, I have had to take home the ashes of 5 family members over the past 5 years...those containers they send you home with are extrememly difficult-to-open, and they are wrapped in plastic, then covered in paper...there is no way a 5 year old could do that.
you only deserve this if both you children didnt know that what they were playing with was grandpa's remains. If you 5 year old did know what it was, then there is something resinsly wrong with her and therefore FYL. And to all the ppl who are saying she is only 5, 5 year olds are capable of comprehending the meaning of death and the basic things associated with it. I know i was
the last play with grandpa!
Apparently you don't watch any television. This plot-line is old hat.
YDI for leaving such a young child home with another child that wouldn't quite know how to handle them. Also, you should have put the ashes somewhere out of reach.
you could have expected that. It still sucks a lot though. Fave

Common sense should have been used here: Keep out of reach of children.
That is so awful. Why the hell did you leave something that important where your five-year-old could get at it?? Why was she not informed that this was an absolutely hands-off item? Why was she beaming? There is so much wrong with this. Your poor, poor grandmother. :(
