I don't wanna say you deserve it cause of the mental disorder. It seems mean. Some therapy and meds can help.
Welcome to life. It's messy and doesn't cater to you. You gotta learn to cope with situations out of your control.
I have a relatively mild case of OCD - Many engineers do. My wife is a bit OCD also. A mild case of OCD is not bad in many fields as it encourages focusing. But obsessive behaviors and an inability to move past unimportant issues is not helpful to anyone. On one hand, it’s a mental health issue and isn’t generally something the person has voluntarily chosen to be like. On the other hand, life is “messy” at times and you have to learn to move past “sticking points” and refocus on what is needed and important. If you can do so on your own great, but it may require the intervention of a mental health professional in some cases. I encourage you to get professional help.
Whether or not you deserve it depends on whether or not your teacher knows you have OCD. If she knows and still reacted that way, she sucks. If she doesn’t know, she would have no way of knowing how difficult that is for you. Either way, you need to keep advocating for yourself and if she doesn’t listen, you need to go above her head until someone else does.
Typically, if there’s an official diagnosis, there will be a 504 plan stating that OP has OCD and their accommodations. If this is the case, it’s most definitely on the teacher.
Who tf is voting YDI on this? I’m betting it’s 100% people who think they know what OCD is but actually don’t have a clue.
I'm on the teacher's side. Sorry the world can't revolve around your problems
