Not worth it
Today, I realized what pulling an all-nighter means in reality. You’re psyched and active for about two hours after the decision, then you plod along bleary-eyed for another 4-8h, after which you inevitably fall into bed, only to end up tired and with a fucked-up sleep cycle for the next few days. Yep. And you were barely able to produce anything of decent quality because you were so tired. It’s a shitty cycle I’m trying to break out of myself. Developed the habit in college but my stupid old body can’t handle that shit anymore. But my stubborn ass brain likes to keep trying.

Goes slightly different if you have ADHD. You don't actively decide you're gonna pull an all-nighter. You just get hyper-fixated on a new hobby, work, or a couple bunny trails, and before you know it the sun is up. Then you have the ****** up sleep cycle for a couple days, lol.
