Today, I was with my 14 year-old son when we saw a baby sparrow being attacked by four or five blackbirds. We rushed up, waving our arms and scared away the much bigger attackers. The baby sparrow ran toward us for protection, then went past both of us, and ran straight down a storm sewer. FML

A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Today, I witnessed the beautiful sight of a tiny baby bird struggling to take flight from its nest. "You can do it," I muttered, which I guess my asswipe of a cat heard as "Quick, go kill that bird and scar me for life, please." FML
Today, I was designing a newspaper page with a story about an aggressive female bird that was defending its nest and attacking students near some stairs. In the article were photos of victims who were attacked. We had a good laugh over it. Later, I was walking past there and the bird attacked me. FML
Today, I saved a baby bird from the site I work on. It was the runt and did not have any feathers and was neglected by the mother. I took care of it all day at work and planned on taking it to a wildlife reserve after work. Two minutes away from the reserve, we hit a pothole and I dropped it. It died. FML
Today, I saved a bird from being run over as it lay in the middle of the road. Thinking it had a broken wing or something, I started carrying it home, intending to take it to the vet later. It crapped in my hand and flew away. FML
Today, I was at the park when I saw a homeless man. I gave him my sandwich, since he needed it more than me. Seconds later, he was attacked by a flock of birds. FML
Today, I found the eggshells from the nest belonging to the little bird that lives outside my house. They were covered in blood and it was quite obvious that they had been eaten. While I was looking at them, the mother bird came over and attacked me. FML
Today, while driving with my three year-old, I was showing her the different kinds of birds. I pointed out a bright red cardinal perched in a row of hedges. She squealed as it took flight, so happy to see such a brightly colored birdie fly. Until it hit my windshield. FML
Today, I found a tiny, featherless baby bird. I knew it was impossible, but I tried to keep it alive through the day. Before I could get it to the wildlife center, it died, and when I got all choked up over it, my mom started laughing at me and saying how "weak" I was. FML
Today, I decided to confront my fear of birds when my friend's pet bird was walking up to me. He got on my arm, climbed up, and attacked my face. FML
Today, after coming home from school, I found that two birds had made a nest above the porch light. This wouldn't be a problem if they stopped attacking me every time I get within 5 feet of them. FML

that's not in any ways a FML for you... Maybe if the bird made the post: Today, I was just messn' around wif som black berds, then they got reely piss'd. They started to gang-bang the sheet outta meh. Then two idiots waving their arms came and chased teh dem black berds away. Dazed i then try to get as far away from the scene and the idiots. I then reelize I heeded that rong way, and before i can turn around I slip'd and felled down gorsh dern storm drain. FML

A similar thing happened to me and my mum, we were in the garden and we saw a baby bird by the pond. We didn't do anything, just saw it was there then went back inside. Checked on it an hour later and found it dead in our pond :( Guess it must have just panicked and ran straight in :( It's sad but it happens.

lol, at first i thought..omg that is sad! but then i pictured how it would've looked lol, this isn't an FML though...even if you had gotten to protect it the bird would've died most likely

Dear god, we can't sit and let nature take it's course! That would make us all monsters. In what way is this an FML? Were you expecting the bird to come to you and be best friends?
