Neighbours from hell

Today, despite not having noisy kids, barking dogs or do I play loud music, yet apparently I still cause enough noise by walking around and watching TV that the neighbours called the cops with a noise complaint. The cops actually came. Since when is living quietly in my own home a police matter? FML

Then maybe try moving? There is no reason for someone to call the police unless it is truly an emergency. Wasting resources of a community over something so petty is ridiculous.

If the police are called, they are required to show up no matter what. At least that’s how I understand it

Not always apparently. My sister called the cops after someone crashed into her. She wasn't feeling hurt at the time and when they asked if anyone was injured, she said no. They never came. Her vehicle is totaled, so is her back. No police report. She didn't go to the police station to get one either. The doctor wouldn't see her until she went to one and lied saying she fell instead of someone crashed into her.
