Today, I ended things with my hometown, on-and-off-again ex-boyfriend. I leave for college soon and felt other things took priority over him (selfish, I know). I met practically every single one of his family members in the street, heard his name being screamed in a department store, and had an overall shitty day. FML

OP, just because he moved to Florida doesn't mean he would never step foot in your neighborhood again. I'm sure he still has plenty of family and friends there that he would like to keep in touch with and visit periodically. You might want to use a little logic before jumping to such a bold conclusion next time.
