If they refuse to wear a seatbelt, I'd be calling the cops and taking the bus back home. I wouldn't trust anyone with such a disregard for safety to take me anywhere.
I personally don't wear seatbelts because they are 100% made for tall, average sized men. Not 5'4" women who are extra busty. The last accident I was in (I was rear ended at a red light) I had severe damage to the vertebrae in my neck because the seat belt no matter where I adjust it to, sits directly on my neck below my ear. So, take your judgemental nonsense elsewhere because you have zero idea why they're not wearing it. I was told by every Dr I saw after that accident I would have sustained far less and severe injury had I NOT been wearing it. However, to not annoy everyone else in the car, I DO keep it clicked in and sit on top of it so no one has to listen to the alert.
Interesting. Every doctor says if you'd smacked the steering wheel and the windshield, you'd have fewer injuries. Also, 5'4" is not that short.
I understand how annoying it is to be strangled by your own safety belt, but you can just put your arm over the top part and use those fluffy thingamajigs that cover the belt to protect your boobs.
