Today, it's been a week since my family moved from a city to a house we inherited out in the middle of nowhere. It's horrible! There's wild animals everywhere, my dad says I have to help take care of the house now, it's a thirty minute ride to school, there's no sidewalks, and I hate it here! I want to go back! FML
I agree, your life sucks 335

It's scary and horrible and stinks. Culture shock is a bitch that can hit like a wet kipper to the face. But you will get used to it. The scary will become familiar, the horrible will become beautiful and when you are old enough to move back to the city, you'll miss the peace.

Change that we personally didn't initiate is usually scary and annoying. But change is inevitable in life. Learn how to adapt to this change - A lot of people would love to experience what you have the opportunity to experience now... I grew up in the country and have lived in the city and the suburbs. Every place has good and bad things about them. Learn to see the good side of where you are.

Your situation, while not to your liking, is quite temporary. It seems your family made a sound financial decision to occupy an inherited property that is likely costing them far less to maintain than your previous city dwelling. Once you reach adulthood and start making your own choices, you are free to live wherever you can afford. Likely, that won't be a popular metropolis for quite some time.

in a couple years you'll be in the city yearning to leave the hustle and bustle. My parents did the same to me and it was the best thing ever. we moved from a town where we were close to everyone, to 20 minutes outside of town. it's my best memories though

What bugs me here is you complaining about having to help take care of the house. Did you not have to do chores and the like in your previous house?
