99 -Yeah, it's actually just as easy to find two definitions from the same source that are very similar 99 Impress 11. to create a favorable impression; draw attention to oneself: Please 1. To give pleasure to; to excite agreeable sensations or emotions in; to make glad; to gratify; to content; to satisfy. Oh, and here's the definition for cosmetics 2. cosmetics, superficial measures to make something appear better, more attractive, or more IMPRESSIVE: The budget committee opted for cosmetics instead of a serious urban renewal plan. 4. used or done superficially to make something look better, more attractive, or more Impressive I'd presumed you were the person I directed that comment, and that as a girl you had worn make up at some point, making it hypocritical. If you've never worn make up, relax. The comment had nothing to do with you, but please don't argue semantics, especially if you're going to do such a bad job of it. and 100 - I don't wear make up, and unless you like covering your natural face with cosmetics that are often suspected of being carcinogenic I'm pretty sure I'm dead on with why you wear it, and no better than someone who would pour water on themselves to impress. I'm guessing that isn't something they do every day though, so it's kind of worse if you wear make up really.
Ohnoitslindsay, if you cover your face with potentially carcinogenic substances to feel "an enhanced sense of beauty"(because that's obviously all for you, needing to feel beautiful), you either have some pretty major self esteem issues or are lying to yourself.
Agree with number 21. ... Why do people try to look 'hot' and 'impress' others? ...I just act like myself, and if they don't like it,then their loss?
I don't see the point of Sprite when you're working out. You obviously deserved what came to you. Stop acting out of impulse. You're making a fool out of yourself.
Why would you bring soda to a work-out? Talk about counterintuitive.
If your working out.,,,and you drink spite instead of water I'm guessing you haven't been making much progress.
really mobius? do you have nothing better to do with yourself than lurk around fml and post moot points? i'm sorry to burst your little self-righteous bubble but wearing make-up every day to enhance your appearance (whether it be for yourself or others, i wear make-up even while home alone) and pouring water all over yourself in an attempt to look UBER SEXEH for some "hot guy" on the walking track are completely different. One implies a pride in appearance, "taking care of yourself," or simply enjoying playing around with different colors and different looks, whereas the other implies subjecting oneself to an action one would not otherwise do, simply for the pleasure or gratification of others. So why don't you chill with the comments, sweetheart? it's not going to kill you to lose one little internet argument, though i doubt you would ever admit that.
Lame. Bitch.
