#126- Incline walking can burn just as many calories in the same time period as running. And it is better on the knees.
I'm assuming your eyes were open, but why? I would have kept my eyes closed even if it was just water.
Ohnoitslindsay, an altered state from alcohol or cigarettes doesn't effect how others see me, so that's a pretty stupid comparison. And at any rate, I've been saying there's nothing wrong with trying to impress so even if I did wear make up I wouldn't be being hypocritical. Or do you not understand the definition of hypocrisy? Defend your choice to wear make up to me all you want. I couldn't care less if you do. It just doesn't change the fact that at some level it's to impress others and you can't say anothers actions to impress a guy is wrong without being a hypocrite. theanonimouse - No, I don't really. I broke my foot today and have a bit of time to point out the hypocrisy of others because I think it's interesting how far you'll go to justify why you feel you have the right to criticize others for something so little, the motivation of which you share when you put on make up. Last I checked, carcinogenic substances didn't qualify as "taking care of yourself" any more than pouring sprite on yourself. In fact, seeing as her intention was to pour water on herself, and water is far more beneficial for the skin it would stand to reason she's taking better care of herself with those actions than you are by coating your face in substances that could potentially cause cancer. You can try the whole "I paint my face to try new colours and looks" thing, but you know as well as I do you're kidding yourself. If you were only interested in doing it for the artistic nature of make up application you'd take up painting or something. She's hot and sweaty, so if no one else was around it's quite likely she would pour cold water on herself. Just because her motivation in this case was to impress a guy, which there is nothing wrong with, doesn't mean she's "subjecting" herself to anything. Certainly nothing as bad as covering your face in carcinogenic paint every day. You seem to be the one classifying this as an internet argument you feel the need to win. Why don't you slap on some make up and go outside for a bit, yeah? Seems you take this a bit too seriously.
Soda and working out don't mix anyway. Double fail. YDI big time.
wowww...#130 fails
i love how you assume all make-up causes cancer. not sure where you got that bit of info, but if you feel it helps your argument, more power to you. It only makes you seem even MORE ignorant. and honestly, how the **** could you pretend to know someone else's reasons for using make-up if you've never used it yourself? besides, i've already slapped on my "carcinogenic substances" for today, and i don't really plan on going out. today's my off day.
#130: Alcohol and smoking absolutely effect how others see you. They see you as a drunk and/or smoker, and your health suffers because of them. But you do it anyways because it makes you feel good. You, not them. I do not, on any level, wear makeup to impress others. At all. Ever. I can't speak for everyone, but in my case, your point is entirely moot. Wearing makeup =/= trying to impress others, and dumping soda on yourself to appear sexy to a man you know nothing about is a fail. Not hypocritical at all.
Pretty much all make up does have at least one ingredient in it currently being tested for being cancer causing. Take a bottle of the crap you use to cover up your face with every day even when no ones around, at go google each ingredient. It's pretty much guaranteed that at least one will be. If you want to take that risk for you looks, that's fine. Like I said, don't justify yourself to me. The fact remains if you want to cover your face every day to change the way you look to something more outwardly pleasing instead of painting a pretty picture, it's pretty obvious it's to impress someone other than yourself, unless you're going to spend your day in front of the mirror, and you're in no position to judge what other people do to impress a guy they like.
why do u bring sprite when u run? like r u insane?
