Today, I was almost hit by a bus, missing me by a few centimetres, and only because I jumped back the moment I heard its horn. I was using the zebra crossing, and the lights were green for me. FML

I found out recently that while in Australia it is the law for a driver to stop and allow pedestrians right of way when there is a zebra crossing, there are places where this is not a thing. like, you take your chances and run that gauntlet.

I didn't know they let zebras post to FML. I doubt the bus driver was completely at fault, but your kind only see things as black-and-white.

So many drivers ignore crosswalks that I had to check to see if stopping was optional/discouraged where I live.
