This is why in some organizations they issue uniforms or at least vests that identify you as a social worker or other public service professional. You should ask your team lead about this, to avoid such potentially embarrassing situations.
Why should he be the one making judgemental people who should stick their nose into their own business to begin, with, feel comfortable?
ask them, ''You would've said no"?
Maybe you mistook "jealous looks" for "hate-filled stares"?
“I told her we should just stick to anal. What can I say — my boys are strong swimmers. High five? High five? No?”
It shouldn’t matter what people are thinking you was at work your conscience is clear
Now that, my kind sir, is a tough job. Even way worse than telemarketing. Cursed out, hang up.
You're doing an excellent job, OP. chin up xx
Who cares what these judgemental aholes think anyway!!!

That sucks. You were doing the right thing in your capacity as a social worker and don’t deserve to be judged like that.
Guess what, you do a job most people couldn't stomach. I have mad respect for that. You put in the work, you help these children. That's what matters. Keep your chin up, you're doing a wonderful job.
