Lmao op here! I didn't think this would actually get posted! Here's the follow up. I'm 17 and my brother just moved back home from Minnesota so he doesn't have a whole lot of friends here. My brother and I get along great I just thought it was funny that my mom didn't want my brother to feel left out so she makes me bring him with when I want to go hang out with my friends. It's pretty awkward for my friends and I but I don't mind as long as my mom doesn't expect me to start bringing him with me everywhere. He's 26 not 11!

You have a comma splice. You have an independent clause on both sides of the word "but". Therefore, that is an inappropriate use of a comma. I have to apologize for being a grammar nazi. Taking English classes in the summer can really change a person.

I believe your brother needs a social life.
His parents are attempting to build that social life.
Assuming the brother is a teenager, that social life with the brother's friends wouldn't really work out. Also he's 26, I really wanna know why he doesn't have friends or a girlfriend for that matter. Too many possibilities.
I never understood why parents do this. Don't make OP bring his brother along with people he hardly knows. It should be up to the 26 year old brother to make something of his social life, not OP.

Talk to your parents about this - they might want to help your brother but at the same time they out you at unease.
