I had a dog that was friendly, gentle, and loyal. But approach his dog dish when he was eating and you’d think I was threatening him with a weapon from the growling he made. I am not saying it’s right that GF got upset you snatched some of her fries, just that there are some things that people and animals respond to without thinking… When my daughter was young she was a slow eater so when we were in McDonalds I’d take a fry or two from her serving and it always made her eat faster. But to this day many years later she remembers that I stole her fries in McDonalds. While that little trick worked, I don’t think it was a good idea… Always ask, never just snatch food off someone’s plate. And expect GF to do likewise and call her out when she doesn’t ask…
