Well shit.

Today, after moving 1,400 miles across the country, quitting my full-time job, and selling most of my furniture to attend flight school, I got a call a month before my start date saying that they are closing my location. FML

Today, I was told a job offer that would've changed my life had been taken back, due to one part in the onboarding process. I’ve already sold my car, ended the lease to my apartment, and purchased a non refundable plane ticket. With little to no money and the Christmas break coming soon, I feel like I’m going to die with no backup plan. FML

Have you signed anything stating you were to begin there, or was it word of mouth? Unfortunately, you moved too soon for this job. Talk to them, ask to go to another location (to have the same job) and ask them to front the cost for you to move to another location. If your position was signed upon, companies usually help try to keep you if they want you. If you were told verbally only that they want you to start, you may be SOL. Always have contracts in writing before you move that far! Yes FYL, it totally sucks, but you moved so early before your start time without a possible contract! (Again, don't know OP's full situation!)

And where will they be locating you? What sister location is still open they operate with? You paid to go to flight school, you need services rendered. They wouldn't plan a semester if they knew they were closing. I hope they don't just refund your tuition. I would seek a lawyer on this.

I don’t want to say “I told you so,” but you shouldn’t have relied so heavily on a school that is so... ...wait on it... ...flighty.

You completely missed the words FLIGHT SCHOOL. I don't know where you got the idea OP moved for a job from. Most people like to move and settle in to where they will be going to school before the semester actually starts.

Time to spread your wings and fly, to the next location that is.
