Toxic workplace

By Screamingfirecracker - 15/08/2016 04:12 - Canada

Today, I finally worked up the nerve to quit my job after being tortured by my boss for months. My boss responded by throwing a hardcover textbook at me and hitting me in the face. FML

Okay. Just that small amount of information is enough to assume a lot of what your boss is doing isn't legal and you should take it up to the law or something. that's not right

I'm not keen on suing people just to get money, but this time consider it for the well being of the remaining employees.

yes someone has to be the fall guy to take the boss to justice!

Why are you not at a lawyers office right now, to sue the son of a bitch?

Just be glad that you no longer have to deal with that asshole

I can't believe there are still abusive asshole bosses out there who do this shit, just remember OP you don't have to be treated like that and I hope you find a new workplace that will show you some common decency.

Not to mention it's assault and he can be sued for that

I'd take it up with HR, or a lawyer. His actions could take his ass straight to jail, where people like him belong. If I we're you, I'd also sue him.

I can't believe your boss abuses his employees like this. And you're from Canada! Contact your union and get him fired - do it not just for yourself, but for your coworkers, who suffer under his "rule".

What you just described is a criminal offense. Please press charges for the well-being and safety of everyone else that works with your boss..

They call that assault here in the states. I can't imagine it would be much different in Canada.
