Today, my husband told me that, to feel less unreliable, he was just going to stop saying he was going to do anything around the house. That way, when he actually did something (i.e. wash dishes), I could be pleasantly surprised. FML

It actually sounds like OP's husband was not following through with anything he said he'd do. So now, instead of saying he's going to help around the house, he will just, every once in a while (maybe), do something around the house. At least, that's how the post is worded.

sounds like you bitch to much and don't appreciate him for what he does for you.

It’s that great strategy of underpromising and overdelivering. I suspect you’ll get mostly non-delivery.

Or...OR...he could be a ******* adult.

That does seem like a nice way to manage your expectations of him. What did you think? "He will change" or "I will be able to change him". LOL. **** me we women are silly little ***** that find men we fall in love with for "their potential" (i.e dick size) and then bitch about it when they won't change

That's like if he cut his dick off so it wouldn't seem quite so small in retrospect. I can say with absolute certainty that it doesn't work nearly as well as you'd think it would.

He sounds exactly like MY housekeeper! :-( Oh, wait! That's me....
