Today, my attention-seeking sister-in-law came to my 20 week ultrasound and afterward, without my knowledge, took it upon herself to announce the gender to Facebook and call the entire family, telling them "we're having a boy" nullifying any need for the announcement I had spent 4 weeks planning. FML

Today, my future sister-in-law cancelled my invitation to her and my brother's wedding. Her reason was that I was incredibly rude to announce my pregnancy to my family at a time like this, because it took all the attention away from her. FML

Today, I announced my first pregnancy to my family. Not to be outdone, my sister immediately announced that she "might" be getting pregnant soon. My family ended up congratulating her instead, and asked me if I would plan the baby shower. FML

Today, my sister went into a blind rage at me for "upstaging" her by announcing that I'm pregnant, two months after she did the same. My husband and I have been trying for two years. She's in high school and doesn't even know who the father is. FML

Today, my sister announced that she just got engaged… right as I was in the midst of giving birth to my twin daughters. The thing is, she's not actually engaged. In fact, she's single. She just couldn't stand that I was "upstaging" her and "had to think of something fast." FML

Today, I was yelled at and humiliated by my otherwise awesome brother-in-law for my supposed lack of effort in the planning of a baby shower for my very pregnant sister. The kicker? Her huge, break-my-bank semi-surprise baby shower has been in the works for a month and is happening this weekend. FML

Today, I discovered that my boyfriend was planning on proposing to me tomorrow. I found out after receiving a couple of a dozen texts from friends and relatives bitching me out for not telling them. <p>Make a post of your own announcing the baby's gender and saying that if they heard the baby's gender from anyone else, they violated your privacy and trust by going behind your back to do so.Also, cut her out of the loop as much as possible, and I'd keep an eye out for other actions like this or if she tries to guilt trip you about being mad. <p>OWn call, because Narcissists aren't good for kids to grow up around and can even be actively dangerous. Most people that are "attention seeking" have the predisposition for behavior that is dangerous to themselves and everyone around them.</p>

If you ever have a second kid, don't let her go to the 20 week ultrasound(if she tries to come change the appointment time last minute) then after the appointment before you make your announcement text her telling her the wrong gender of the baby. After she publicly announces the wrong gender on facebook comment on her post and say "actually the baby is" and play the whole thing off as a practical joke.
