Today, it's been six months since my husband and I have miscarried our daughter who we named Hana Grace. My sister just revealed she is having a girl and naming her Hana Grace since "the name is up for grabs now". FML

Today, my wife's sister called with a confession. My wife never wanted children, but I did, but I thought she'd miscarried the first two, so we stopped trying. Her sister confessed that she'd actually aborted them and lied to me. We picked out names for them and she aborted them. FML
Today, my sister announced her pregnancy at my husband's funeral. FML
Today, my sister decided to have her baby shower on my birthday. I recently had a miscarriage and she knows this. FML
Today, my father-in-law announced the name of his new son, my husband's half-brother. The first name and last name is the same as our son, who I gave birth to 4 months ago. FML
Today, I miscarried my baby. My teen sister, who has autism and can’t handle being around children, congratulated me on getting my freedom back, and also on miscarrying before I got fat like our mom. I can’t even yell at her because she wouldn’t understand why I’m upset. FML
Today, after I had a miscarriage in December, and finding out in June that I was 13 weeks pregnant with twins, I was told out that Baby B had consumed Baby A. FML
Today, I found out my ex-fiance and the girl he cheated on me with are expecting. It’s bad enough he jilted me at the altar four months ago, but the fact that they’re naming their son the same name I wanted to name my miscarried son pours lemon juice in the wound. FML
Today, it’s been four and a half months that my wife is pregnant. It’s been a long and hard process, but we made it. Now she says she hates it, she can’t stop thinking about how her life, body, and identity got ruined, and how she wishes she was dead. I'm a simple man. I was happy. FML

I've had a miscarriage myself and if my sister stole the name, I'd have to throat punch that bitch. Sorry your sister is such a bitch. I hope she really doesn't name her daughter that because it is extremely insensitive

Just a few generations ago, when infant mortality was common, some people would recycle names repeatedly (such as my family). Not just after miscarriages, but those of dead children who had personalities and could speak. Is Hana Grace a member of your family, or why do both you and your sister like the name so much? The consternation and anger here does not transcend time, and is not a universal issue.

That is completely inconsiderate and cruel of your sister. I am so sorry for your loss OP, I can't imagine how much you are hurting. Definitely sit down with your sister and have a talk with her. Also, I'm wondering how the **** anyone could click YDI on this one. You definitely don't deserve any of what you're going through.

I'm very sorry for your loss. I think and hope that your sister will reconsider another name for her baby girl because if she has any kind of heart and conscious and care about you she will do the right thing. Depending on the type of person she is she won't feel good or really have any peace within. When you have a baby you want to be able to feel happy with everything while watching your baby grow up.
