OP here. For those that question why I had girl baby clothes it is because I have clothes from when I was a baby. They are too big for him but I was bored. And for those that think that babies are entertaining 24/7 then you are obviously not a parent. I am home alone with my child for 7 hours a day and I don't really know very many people or go too many places. My mother-in-law doesn't believe in knocking so she has a habit of just walking in. Also, I intended for this to be a one time silly event between just my child and I perhaps with me telling my husband later. I had no intentions of taking pictures to share on FB or any other social media site. (In fact, my child isn't pictured anywhere online.) Also, if my son "turns out gay" I won't really care because a few of my family members are homosexual. Lastly, I could've let my baby play with his toys but he vastly prefers me entertaining him over his toys.

I don't think this is any weirder than people who decide to dress their cat or dog up in human clothes because they're bored, and I guess using a child is significantly less likely to end in torn clothing or lacerations to the person doing the dressing up. Pity you didn't get any pictures – it would have been a cracking image to put on an embarrassing 18th birthday cake when the little guy grows up!
You are. You just don't do that.
Ydi for being such a tool that you'd dress a baby boy as a girl...boredom is NOT an excuse. Maybe your punishment should be that you have to dress as a woman for a year, let us know how that works out.
YDI if he wants to dress up in girls clothes when he's older it's his choice. Although I have a feeling if you had a daughter that you dressed in boy clothes your in law would have been more comfortable with it.
really, guys? she was just bored and dressed her baby boy in a dress. what's wrong with that? did it do him any harm? no. did it hurt anyone? no. is it going to emabarass him in 15 years? no, because OP said she didn't post any pictures of it anywhere and honestly it's not that big of a deal!

Explain to her how that stuff is all socially constructed anyway. Pink used to be considered a boy's color!
How are you bored with your own 6 month old baby?
