OP here. For those that question why I had girl baby clothes it is because I have clothes from when I was a baby. They are too big for him but I was bored. And for those that think that babies are entertaining 24/7 then you are obviously not a parent. I am home alone with my child for 7 hours a day and I don't really know very many people or go too many places. My mother-in-law doesn't believe in knocking so she has a habit of just walking in. Also, I intended for this to be a one time silly event between just my child and I perhaps with me telling my husband later. I had no intentions of taking pictures to share on FB or any other social media site. (In fact, my child isn't pictured anywhere online.) Also, if my son "turns out gay" I won't really care because a few of my family members are homosexual. Lastly, I could've let my baby play with his toys but he vastly prefers me entertaining him over his toys.

Relax.....I used to bounce soft toys off my sons head as he ran in circles....big deal....they need to be fun for us too! And lock your door lady!
your MIL sounds like a nosy busybody who needs to mind her own goddamn business. It's not her child, it shouldn't be her problem. And anyway, it shouldn't be of ANY concern to ANYONE what you dress your kid in. A six month old baby has no idea what he's wearing. He has no idea why he gets upset every time he ***** himself or cries when he's hungry. He's certainly not going to turn out to be gay just from wearing frilly clothes for a few minutes at a few months old.
In the bright side, you have something to tell your son when he gets older. :D "when you were a baby, i dressed you up in girl clothes" ;)
That kinda sucks, I don't really see what the big deal is if he's small enough not to know or remember anyway
In all honesty I agree with your mother in law.
LOL! I think most moms with boys do this to a certain extent but I'm surprised by the level you took it to! Did you get him matching shoes and a purse too? :)
Well you had to have the girls clothes in the first place OP? But gender roles aren't as important as people think
I'm sure he looked adorable, OP. Only the narrow-minded would think you need therapy. Besides, that's tame compared to what I plan on doing if I ever have children. I'm going to buy myself a photo album and take as many embarrassing baby pictures as I can-- including cross-dressing photos-- and use it for blackmail. You know, for the teenage years when they start to think they're tough shit. I'd be a horrible mother.

Explain to her how that stuff is all socially constructed anyway. Pink used to be considered a boy's color!
How are you bored with your own 6 month old baby?
