Today, I was watching the show "Sixteen and Pregnant". I started bawling when the girl's dirtbag boyfriend proposed to her with a $20 ring he bought from Walmart because I was so lonely and was jealous of her "romantic relationship". FML

I saw that episode! Even worse-- he spent $300 on an XBOX360 right before that! And everyone, I think the original poster was jealous because he would never treat a girl like that.

the guy returned his game and game system, so they could buy stuff for the baby, he got a cheap engagement ring cause you spend the real money on the real thing. also they needed the rest of the money for the baby. I don't see how he's a dirt bag for coming to his senses, putting his child fist returning his game and system he just bought, and getting a cheaper engagement ring so he could get his baby stuff. personally I would be happy he gave up something of his to help my child, even if the ring was one of those ones out the 25c thing. my engagement ring was 25$ my wedding ring has 2 small diamonds and a large center oval sapphire. the wedding ring is where the real money is put. laid in white and yellow gold.

I love how people act like when you get engaged that the guy proposing better have bought a nice expensive diamond ring. If you really love someone you won't give a shit how much the ring cost. If the guy I love proposed to me I would be soo excited even if he got it from walmart for $20. Who cares! Also the guy doesn't even have to propose you could just be talking one day and both agree that you love each other and want to get married and there you go then you can go together to pick a ring like my parents did. My parents just agreed to get married and bought the ring together and they have been married for almost 21 years. People are too shallow these days.
