Today I was very excited to go to the post office to claim a parcel. I didn't know what it could be, so I assumed it was a gift. It turned out to be a speeding ticket. FML

It's because it had to be handed to me directly so it can't be "lost". They wanted to be shure that I got it because I had a certain number of days to pay the fine or to plead non-guilty.

Reminds me of a story I once heard- Man gets ticket with photo of car speeding. Man sends photo of money to cops. Cops send photo of handcuffs. Man pays fine. Don't know if it was ever true though.
