Holy shit, that blows. It's probably better in the long run that you found out, but I'm sorry you had to find out this way.
Oh that's terrible, but honestly, it's better that everything is out in the open now and some honesty has been restored, even if it hurts a little. The ex-fiance did the right thing, although, I think he should have contacted your mother instead of you. I've been in your situation, it isn't fun, but it will get better. What you need to do now is talk to your parents, both of them, comfort your mother, and confront your father. What he did was unacceptable and he needs to understand how his actions don't just hurt your mother, they hurt everyone, including you. Also, lots of cheaters try to justify their actions, in my situation, they even tried to say that I shouldn't be so angry or feel hurt because it wasn't me that they were cheating on, don't let them do this. You're allowed to feel hurt, and there is no justification for their actions, they could have left the relationship instead of being a sneaky scumbag. Cheaters don't understand that leaving is almost ALWAYS an option, and by staying and cheating, they make the situation 10x worse for everyone.

Maybe you should talk to someone about that negativity bro, I can feel it from here. I speak from personal experience from a father who wanted my mom, sister and I dead, talking to someone helps.
that really sucks. good luck!
Oh snap
Or, ya know, hello family torn apart by cheating father.
