Today, I learned there is very little chance my husband and I can conceive naturally, and we'll most likely have to spend all of our savings trying to conceive or adopt. My sister called to let me know how hard it is to juggle her second pregnancy, getting her masters degree, and finding time to travel. FML

If you adopt an older child, there is no cost. We adopted an older child in the state of Michigan and they actually pay a monthly stipend.

Very little chance does not mean it can’t happen. Miracles happen every day. Keep your chin up and keep trying!

Would your sister consider being a surrogate?

Obvious solution is obvious. Get Fertile Myrtle to be your surrogate and ask for the Friends and Family Discount. You’ll keep about half your life savings.

If you decide to go down the fertility treatment route, please make sure you take time to de-stress during the process. This can be a very stressful process and unfortunately stress inhibits the fertilization process. A lot of women get even more stressed when they don't conceive within their expected timeline and this further reduces their chances of pregnancy. It's a vicious cycle.

Just don't de-stress by exfoliating your nipples in the bath...

Keep at it, try to time it when you're most fertile Worst comes to it, there's lots of babies from unwanted families out there waiting for a loving home
