I don't know why everyone is assuming he 'celebrates' his half birthday. I imagine he noticed the date and said something like 'hey, it's my half birthday! What'd you get me?' and didn't expect an answer. That hardly means he was celebrating it.

Sucks that you're only 18, but I know a few people who were young parents, and they are doing great (: just keep your head up. And a broken condom is never fun. :/
