I don't know OP ... There are some pretty intense relationship dramas on Sesame Street. There's Big Bird with his imaginary friend Snuffleupagus, then there's Cookie Monster trying to kick his cookie addiction since now cookies are considered a "sometimes" food ... It's filled with subplots and melodrama like any normal soap opera.
