Today, I feel like I'm going crazy as I'm in a 2-year relationship with a guy who's 17 years older than me (I'm 23). He's a wonderful partner and I'm totally in love, but the age gap causes monthly, sometimes daily, shifts between wanting to have it all with him, and wanting to leave him. FML
I agree, your life sucks 56

Undeniably a large gap. I've had partners that were similar gap older and similar gap younger, as well as age-equivalent. The problem here is that your 23-year-old perspective, and I'm not being smarmy or patronizing, I assure you. Everyone has these doubts, even in the absolute BEST relationships, it's the frequency of your doubts that may be normal for you, or may be excessive (which is a red-flag) or may even be conservative (which is a green-light). So, understand that your age is a component in this equation, with NO judgement about that being a factor, you simply don't have enough chronological experience to know what level of doubt is base-line normal for YOU. Sincere wishes for your happiness!!

I can understand it can be hard for you. But if you wouldn't have doubts had he been approximately your age, then I would say go for it. One of my BFFs is married to a guy 14 years her senior, and she's as happy as a girl can be... Don't let age pull you down! Hope you have a beautiful life! <3
