I think your grandmother likely understood that speaking to people was difficult for you, and she likely wouldn’t want you to keep beating yourself up over it. You might not have another chance with your grandmother, but you *do* have the chance to try and spend more time with your other relatives, if you want to. Social anxiety is difficult, but I think you can do it, if you want to.
