Today, a tenant complained about me on the local news by name. The company I work for refuses to fix the electric in her building. I make $41K per year, and I’m “a selfish millionaire slumlord.” FML

if she is a Tennant in YOUR building YOU are required to make sure the electric is PROPERLY WORKING at all times. so yeah, you deserved it

If OP owned the building you would be correct. But it sounds like OP's employer owns the building. Hence it would be the latter who is responsible for fixing it, not the OP.
