Snail mail

Today, after moving to a new house my life has fallen apart, paperwork lost, appointments missed, job offers rescinded, and now I know why. The postbox by my new house isn’t in use, so four months worth of the letters I've posted are sitting uncollected inside it. It even has a big "Not in use" sign on it. FML

Open it up. Get your mail, then get a new mailbox.

It's not his/her mailbox. It's the post box where you put in letters to send away.

how did it take you 4 whole months to notice that not only was there a sign on the box but also that really important things weren't getting done? BTW are you living in the 90's? Who does that stuff through the snail mail these days anyways?

Legal stuff like signing a work contract goes through regular mail. Many government offices also do not communicate by email.
