There’s nothing wrong with washing you car yourself at home. Once upon a time practically everyone did that. And accidents can happen to anyone. But to be honest I would think you have to be either pretty clumsy or distracted to do something like that… OP, don’t give up on DYI, but pay attention to what you are doing. Also it only takes a moderate amount of cleaner in a bucket to clean a car. Too much and it gets messy and sloppy.
