Plumbed out
Today, I tried to fix a leaking pipe under the sink. I watched a YouTube tutorial and was feeling confident that I could get the job done. Two hours later, half of the kitchen was practically flooded because I forgot to cut the water off, and scrambled to actually find the main valve, then I had to call an emergency plumber, who showed up, laughed, and fixed it in five minutes. You can watch as many YouTube videos as you like, but sometimes it just doesn't beat experience. Anytime you work on gas, electric, or water. YOU HAVE TO TURN THEM OFF AT THE MAINS. I know that I am shouting, but if you were working on the other two, it could have killed you.

My husband did this with our bathroom sink... in the middle of the night. All his loud banging woke me up and in the morning we had no sink. I was livid. My previous plumber father had to come fix it, and you can guarantee my husband won't go near that again.
