Use the door next time.
That's what I was thinking. Predators often have more trouble surviving than prey simply because prey tend to be better at reproducing than predators, yet people always feel the need to help the animal that's in trouble, after the predator spent its valuable energy in trying to capture the creature in order to survive, and having lost its meal, is not able to recover than energy until its next meal. Besides which, like you said, the moth was probably going to die minutes later anyway, but the spider still needs to spend more energy in repairing its web.
aw i've done that before (not the air conditioner smashing) I've set free moths and mosquito hawks. yeah spider needs food too but I really dont like them... so yeah. spiders get no simpathy from me. unless its a jumping spider. they are pretty cute :)
Let nature take its course FFS. You honestly think something as simple as a moth feels pain or fear?
Burn.

what the hell did you think the moth was going to do? Upon seeing your precious air conditioner the moth was supposed to go out and buy you a new one? "The moth flew away" what a great way to end that story, i was expecting it to suck your balls in gratitude, not selfishly get the **** away from the place that it had first been trapped and then had been freed by a ****** giant.
Why is the life of the moth more valuable than the life of the spider?
