Money for nothing

Today, I went to buy some frozen yogurt. I filled up a cup and the cashier rung it up. The total price was $6.92. I only had $5 in my wallet. So I gave her the $5 bill and went to my car to get more money. Little did I know, there was no money in my car. So I drove off. Leaving the $5 behind. FML

I think it's clear OP didn't take the yogurt. They wrote "I left the $5 behind" not "I accidentally stole some yogurt." Sounds like OP ended up with neither money nor yogurt. I doubt the cashier would've let them take the yogurt to the car with them when they haven't fully paid for it. Sucks for you, though, OP. Had you gone back, they might've just let you have the yogurt even though you were short since they probably have to throw it away anyway.

I wouldn't be buying expensive yogurt if all you have is five dollars. You don't even have a debit or credit card ? You should have bought a loaf of bread of a package of ramen to stretch your money. You should be more responsible YDI

Why do people go to the grocery store without money? Money is a pretty important part of buying stuff.

*scrapes off the top bit of yogurt* how about now?

I'm not sure hiw things work in other countries, but here if the shop is close to your home and you're somewhat familiar with the cashier it's not a problem to pay the rest later or the next day

There should be no shame in asking someone for a couple bucks. I don't know how other people function, but two bucks isn't a big deal to give to someone.

Really late here, but what part of Alabama are you from?
