Those things all led to your depression and now you are free of them. The ocean just gave you the cosmic message that you are destined to be an unemployed, homeless beach bum.
Apropos for Venice Beach.
There are metal detectors that can find them.
I have lived by the beach for my entire life (not a flex just a preamble to what I’m going to say) Keys are heavy and would have generally sank quickly so if you had just walked back through the path you took while shuffling your feet (as you should anyway… bc stingrays on the chance this was in southern California) you could have easily found them. I’ve dropped keys more than once and it’s always worked for me. That being said, I’m glad you found some joy. That can be tough to do sometimes and finding a bit of happy is worth it’s weight in gold.
the OP is ******** A BRICK now I bet with anger not realizing they could have done that and now they will probably never be able to go to the exact spot they stood in to get their keys back no problem.....I'm sorry OP but this is making me laugh so hard at this thought
Keys can be replaced. Happiness and joy in the moment, not so much. Forge ahead, stay strong, and realize if this is the worst you face, you are very blessed indeed.

All those things are replaceable, but you found your happy place! That’s much more important, keep finding more happy places!
