Today, I went on a blind date. My date spent the whole time at the restaurant on his phone and didn't even try to show interest. Thankfully I'll never have to deal with this individual ever again. FML

That's not the way rom-coms works. He'll likely be your dentist, you'll get stuck in an elevator with him, or you'll be invited to his wedding as someone's plus-one. In the last scenario, he ditches his bride at the altar and runs away with you. He remembers your date as absolutely magical and you become the most hated woman in town. The End.

You should have just started texting him in the middle of the date. Then he would have noticed...

It sounds like your date was just not that into you. Unfortunately sometimes that’s something that can happen. While it was inconsiderate on his part, it is better than him telling you the date was off as soon as he spoke with you or jumping out a bathroom window to escape. Not every couple matches up to be a good combination, sometimes we have to just accept it wasn’t meant to be and move on.

There's a difference between not being into someone and being rude. He could have at least talked to his date rather than looking at his phone all the time.

and why didn't you walk out on him, give him a taste of his own medicine
