Today, my partner of 5 years broke up with me via text. We were talking about starting a family just last week. We have a foster puppy together and moved into a new house a month ago. FML

that is upsetting. Not wondering if it was HIM who really sent the message, assuming you verified it, this does sound like one of the reason I believe in the unexpected of people, also in a bad way. I hope you will find the strenght to get on your own track again. Good luck in life.

I’m so sorry. This happened to me recently and I’ve been absolutely devastated even though we were together less than a year. I can’t even imagine the feelings after 5 years. You deserve better, stay strong. And keep the puppy!
