Today, I was watching our regular show on Netflix with my boyfriend. I made a remark about one of the male leads having nice abs. My boyfriend is so pathetically insecure that he threw a fit and is refusing to finish the show since he claims I find the actor more attractive than him. FML

If he won't go to therapy then he needs to leave. Partners like this are exhausting and generally tend to turn controlling (he's already doing this by policing what you are watching) if not abusive. He either starts work on fixing himself or you bounce. Don't make the mistake of wasting any more time with this attitude than you absolutely have to.

I think both parties are at fault here. If you know your boyfriend is that insecure, you shouldn't have said anything. At the same time, he needs to grow a pair and realize you're an adult. I'm sure he salivates over actresses sometimes.
