Today, it's my birthday. I woke up to a text message from my boyfriend, breaking up with me. When I commented on his impeccably bad timing, he admitted he'd forgotten it was my birthday. FML

Today, at exactly midnight, I get a text from my boyfriend saying we were done. I had just seen him 4 hours ago when we were out celebrating my birthday, and asked why he didnt just tell me then. He replies 'I couldn't break up with you on your birthday but i wanted it to be over ASAP' FML

Take it as a blessing in disguise then. The fact he didn't even remember your birthday and broke up with you via text should tell you what a douche he is. Go out, enjoy your birthday and move on. Happy birthday

One time my ex gf tried to kill herself on my bday and I called several times with no answer and she finally picked up saying "sorry I forgot it was your bday"
