Fish and chips is life

Today, my husband had his hands full with the shopping, so I was carrying the baby and the bag with our takeaway in it. I tripped down the steps and fell over. Did my husband ask if I or the baby were OK? Nope. But he did ask if I’d squashed his fish and chips. FML

If you caught yourself and the baby before actually hitting the ground, perhaps it was simply obvious that you were okay? I'd think if you had actually dropped the baby you wouldn't have been able to hear him over the screaming and crying.

Let's be honest, he can see/hear if you and the baby are crying or bleeding. The food is probably in a styrofoam box...

Of course, if he loses you and the baby, he can always marry someone else and have babies with her. But when fish and chips get damaged, they are lost forever! So, did they make it? Were the fish and chips ok? By the way, hope you and the baby are well.

If he was shopping and comes home to you and sees that you are fine but can’t see the fish and chips...I see the reasoning
